Dr. Ron McMorris is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Walker and Albany communities.
Dr. McMorris earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Tx in 2007 after earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1999. Dr. Ron graduated from Doyle High School in 1993.
After practicing for several years in Texas, Dr. McMorris could have opened his first clinic anywhere in the united states but wanted to return to his home parish to serve people from his, and surrounding, communities. Dr. McMorris opened Elite Chiropractic in Walker, LA in 2010, then opened his second clinic in Albany, LA in 2013. The clinic is conveniently located off I-12 behind Waffle House, making it easily accessible to the entire Parish.
Dr. McMorris's approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. McMorris is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Dr. Chessa Purser D.C.
Dr. Chessa Purser was raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she was a member of the soccer team and four year Academic All-American. She earned her B.S. at Texas Tech University in Biology and Sociology. During her senior year she suffered a spinal injury that left her unable to play soccer. After her spinal injury she discovered chiropractic and natural healing then set her sights on a new dream, a doctoral degree in Chiropractic from Parker University. At Parker, she also obtained two more B.S degrees in Anatomy and Health and Wellness.
Dr. Chessa Purser is certified in the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) a complete system of analysis and treatment regarding the fascial chains that run throughout the body. Dr. Chessa Purser also has specialized training in the assessment and correction of extremities through specific adjustment techniques. As a lifelong athlete, Dr. Chessa Purser has a fascination and drive for all things sports related as well as the ability of the body to naturally heal itself.
Dr. Candace Bozeman D.C.
Dr. Candace Bozeman was raised in Houma, LA. She attended Louisiana State University at Eunice where she was a member of the softball team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She continued her education at Louisiana State University where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology. Learning about the body and how it functions sparked her interest in alternative therapies, and she soon decided to pursue massage therapy.
While in massage therapy school, Dr. Candace was successfully treated for chronic lower back pain by a chiropractor, which opened her eyes to the body’s ability to heal itself from within. She soon enrolled at Parker University in Dallas, Texas where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic. She also believes that her experience as a massage therapist is an advantage that will enhance her ability to treat a multitude of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Candace is currently studying with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association to better serve children and expectant mothers. Her belief is that the foundation for optimal health begins in childhood. She is excited to share her passion for chiropractic with the families of Livingston Parish.
